Colleen designs jewelry composed of hand-formed, hand-painted beads. Beads are created from polymer clay with a focus on organic shapes and pattern. Pushing color play and drawing from a mid-century modern palette, Colleen composes signature pieces that allow the wearer to express their own creative self.
Working out of her home studio she moves between soldering, sculpting and painting. "The work is meant to be a celebration of the creative process and the wonderful things that happen when a human hand makes something.”
Her work was included in a 2017 exhibit, Multifaceted: An Exhibition of Fine Jewelry at Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs, NY and is sold at Main Street Arts, Memorial Art Gallery Store, Shop One at RIT, and Andrea Geer Designs Studio in Rochester, NY.
She lives in Rochester, NY with her sons, their sweet daddy and a dog named harry.
